What are Dry Seahorses?
Dried seahorses are exactly what they sound like: seahorses that have been
dried and processed for consumption. The process of drying seahorses involves removing
the moisture content, allowing the seafood to be stored for longe
r periods of time without spoiling.
Dry seahorses are the species of seahorses that are found in saltwater
environments and are specially adapted to live in low-moisture
environments. They belong to the genus Hippocampus, which
is derived from the Greek words “hippos” meaning horse, and “kampos” meaning sea monster.
